50’s New Reality Show
It looks like Fiddy has an apprentice type show that will be airing this Thursday @10pm on MTV and my only question is how much will he make off of it? Curtis is a brilliant business man, I know he’s full of drama but when it comes to marketing and decision making to make a profit, he’s the man. And his new show, The Money & The Power, will definitely be another business move by him. Entertainers are entrepreneurs, marketing and reinventing themselves as much as possible is a must. So will he make boat loads of money off this stunt? Probably not directly but definitely indirectly. As a matter of fact, the prize for the winner is $100,000 giving to them by Curtis himself, so he’s giving money but we all know you have to give to receive and the publicity he’ll get from the show will be priceless. Besides, he can write off the $100,000 for tax purposes, it’s his charitable contribution for the year. This show will show how business savvy he is, which will attract the attention of major companies looking for a celeb to back their product and of course they’ll pay him millions, also it’ll show his fans and those that were fans but lost interest in him cause he’s so damn dramatic (ME),
a better insight into his mindset and life a little and than when he drops a CD they’ll have a connection with him and buy it, which we know will generate cash flow. So I guess these reality shows, ever though they always seem orchestrated to me, can be helpful for a business owner, Just look at it like a commercial, the more you see that commercial the more you think of the product or service. I mean it’s not like he’s a has been that needs a show to keep relevant, dude is worth at least $100 million and depending on who you ask he could be worth $400 million. The vitamin water deal was the investment of a lifetime, he stated he only did it because he was trying to health conscious. He had the option of investing in a soda company. He has a successful clothing line, record company and acting career. I think it’s cool that he wants to invest in the success of someone else, one of the hardest thing about being in business is having someone on your side that believes in you. So check it out this Thursday, on MTV at 10 or check out his site at www.thisis50.com
