Philantropy Corner – The Luda Foundation
It looks as if our hometown hero, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges is still at it. This weekend in Atlanta will be huge for Luda and his foundation, The Ludacris Foundation (TLF). Ludacris, TLF and an Atlanta car dealership, Nissan South are partnering for “Stars for Cars – The LudaDay Giveaway”, to give away 20 used vehicles to several deserving Metro Atlanta area residents.

According to TLF President, Roberta Shields, “Our major focus is youth and supporting the family structure and this year we want to do something to help youth and families manage during these tough economic times. Having a vehicle to get back and forth to work and daycare can make the difference in getting and keeping a job, she stated.”
Since 2001 Luda and his foundation has combined fun filled weekend activities with donating thousands in charitable grants to non-profits throughout Atlanta.
From Back to school drives to Christmas toy giveaways to benefit dinners with the likes of Mayor Shirley Franklin, Magic Johnson, Quincy Jones, Kevin Liles, Deborah Lee and Jane Fonda just to name a few, TLF is truly standing out as a philanthropy powerhouse and setting a great example of what giving back entails.
Check out their award winning website filled with valuable information and future and past events. Among the programs Ludacris and his foundation are passionate about is, Ludacares, Healthy Lifestyles 101, Leadership 101, Runaway Love Campaign and HIV/AIDS Awareness.
Congrats to Luda!
